New parish software system unifies parish technology systems for the first time

President Kenny Matassa announced that a new, comprehensive software system, technologically linking all of the Parish’s financial operations for the first time, went live on October 1.

Beginning in January of 2018, the Parish began working with Tyler Technologies to implement a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This system will replace a nearly 30 year old AS400-based financial system.

Now, all aspects of budget control are streamlined into a user-friendly interface with a trackable workflow system. Phase 1 of this system includes the general ledger and billing, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, purchasing, grant/project accounting, and contracts modules.

I commend our Parish Employees who have put in tireless hours reviewing, revising, configuring, installing, and training on this new ERP System,” said President Matassa.

Phase 2 will begin in December 2018 with a scheduled go live in October 2019 and will include timekeeping, payroll, and customer care modules.
