APSO arrests one, asking for the public’s assistance in locating a second suspect

Chief Deputy Bobby Webre reports the arrest of Justin Sharp in connection with several vehicle burglaries that occurred in the Prairieville area earlier this month. A second suspect, Preston Sharp, remains at large.

Between July 6 and July 16, deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 73 and Brennan Avenue in reference to reports of multiple vehicle burglaries.

The suspects were identified as Preston Scott Sharp and Justin Wayne Sharp. On July 23, Justin was arrested and charged with multiple counts attempted vehicle burglary, vehicle burglary, theft of a firearm, possession of a firearm by person convicted of certain felonies, felony theft, misdemeanor theft, and trespassing. Detectives are still actively seeking information on the location of Preston Sharp.
