APSO searching for Gonzales woman wanted for aggravated assault

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for 36-year-old Amanda Craven who is wanted for aggravated assault with a firearm and possession of a firearm by convicted felon.

According to Chief Deputy Bobby Webre, deputies responded to the Dollar General store on Highway 42 on Wednesday, July 18, shortly before 9 p.m. in reference to an aggravated assault complaint.

According to store employees, Craven was caught on surveillance video stealing items from the store.

The store clerk attempted to confront Craven outside, but Craven pulled a weapon on the clerk before fleeing the scene in a gray 2013 Lexus ES 250.
