Prairieville man arrested for images of child pornography
On May 8, 2018, Investigators from the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit (SVU) arrested a Prairieville man after they learned that he was in possession of child pornography in Ascension Parish. Investigators arrested 39-year-old Blair M. Bagala for charges related to the possession/distribution of images of child pornography.
The case began when LSP Detectives conducting online investigations observed several files indicative of child pornography on a computer determined to have been used by Bagala. Detectives secured a search warrant for Bagala’s residence and seized several electronic devices belonging to Bagala. A forensic examination of the devices revealed images indicative of child pornography, and Bagala admitted to investigators that he was responsible for downloading those images.
Bagala was placed under arrest and charged with 7 counts of LRS 14:81.1 – Distribution of pornography involving juveniles. He was booked into the Ascension Parish jail on the above charges. The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, and FBI all assisted in this case.
