It was a rocking Wednesday night at Chick-fil-A in Gonzales for their Sock Hop celebration. The 50's-themed event was a huge hit with customers coming out in their best 1950s outfits, poodle skirts and Pink Lady jackets included.

The Chick-fil-A cow was on hand to take photos with kids and their parents who came out to the event. Props were also available, and a photographer from Chick-fil-A even offered professional pictures that have been shared on the company's Facebook page. Kids could pose with paper cutouts of Elvis-style hairdo's, mustaches, microphones, and even 50s juke boxes.

The sock hop even featured some unique milkshakes that you won't typically find on the menu. Some favorites include chocolate covered strawberries and mocha cookie. Classic Coke and root beer floats were also a huge hit.

Inside the store, a DJ was playing tons of fun music to keep people entertained as they ate and enjoyed the playground. The store was decorated with vinyl records and other 50s themed decor. Guests received a free cookie on their way out the door, as well as a coupon for a free ice cream at their next visit.

Chick-fil-A marketing director Camille Cook said they plan on hosting family-friendly events once a quarter at the Gonzales store. She said it's a great way to get to know their guests and have fun with them. Be sure and check them out on Facebook for more information on upcoming events.
