Parish Finance Department awarded ninth consecutive year

Ascension Parish President Kenny Matassa has announced that the Parish Finance Department has been awarded The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the ninth consecutive year.

“Once again, our Finance Department has been recognized for excellence,” said Matassa. “Gwen LeBlanc and her staff are to be commended for this well-deserved award.”

The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting is awarded by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) and is considered the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.
