Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Detectives are searching for 35-year-old Adrienne Norwood and 55-year-old Cyril Hubbard, according to a January 23 media release.

Detectives believe Norwood and Hubbard were acquaintances of Brian Tumas and may have had frequent contact with Tumas in the months leading up to his death.

Chief Deputy Bobby Webre said APSO is seeking information that may help in the investigation. No other information has been revealed at this time.

Tumas died officially of blunt force trauma and a brain injury on the morning of Friday, November 4. His autopsy revealed significant injuries from his lower legs up through his entire body.

The sheriff's office concluded in early November that Tumas may have been the victim of a hit-and-run outside his home in Pelican Point's The Greens community.

But his family maintained that it looked like he had been beaten, according to a November 9 article in The Advocate.

APSO added that anyone who may have information on the whereabouts of Norwood and Hubbard are urged to contact the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office at 225-621-4636 or by texting 847411 to our anonymous tip line from any cellular device or Greater Baton Rouge Crime Stoppers at 235-344-STOP (7868). To be eligible for a cash reward, you must contact Crime Stoppers immediately.
