The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office said that as of October 5 there is no sign of foul play in the death of a three-month-old child on October 2 at an unlicensed daycare.

However, the official press release states: "This is not a final determination and a more definitive conclusion will come once post-mortem lab examination results are provided."

APSO further stated in the October 5 press release that it will see to it Mrs. Camey Raven, the proprietor of "Momme Child Care" in Prairieville, has a clear understanding of her duties and to ensure her compliance.

The APSO report states that the sheriff's office arrived at the home daycare center on October 4 and "effectively closed the business." Shortly afterwards regulatory agency the Department of Education met with both the business, and APSO deputies to work out an agreement on coming into compliance.

"It is the intention of the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office to assist Mrs. Raven in seeing to it that the three-month-old baby's death shows no indication of foul play," the report states.
