"Chief" James LeBlanc speaks with Parish President Kenny Matassa today about flood relief effort to be held this week at Lamar Dixon.

Good Morning - Here is the latest on the Lamar Dixon drop off point information for supplies going to Texas.

Please do not come today to drop off supplies, we are setting up today under barns #7 and #8. We been in meetings most of the morning setting this up.

Remember WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING ANY CLOTHES.

Many of you text me, emailed me or called me last night with enclosed trailers, that you wanted us to use for this project. Today we want to start staging those trailers under barns #7 and #8 so people can start tomorrow dropping off supplies. You need to be able to let us keep the trailer at Lamar Dixon Center for at least a week or so. We want to get all the trailers full, and wait for the roads to Texas to be clear of water before we make the trip.

Our operation will run daily from 09:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for the next week or so.

Thank you - Volunteer Ascension for being our main hub organization involved in this. I'm getting calls all day from other groups that wants to participate. Thank you local churches for staying in touch with me for the last two days on the operation.

TODAY is the set up day, we will start at 1:00 p.m., several of you have offered enclosed trailers and box trucks, if you can start getting them to barns 7 and 8 today, so we can start staging them. When you drop off your trailer, let our Volunteer workers know if you will have a driver to take your trailer with us on the Louisiana convoy to Texas when that happens in a week or so.

Remember please spread the word - WE WILL NOT ACCEPT CLOTHES AT THIS DROP OFF POINT.
