Annual Voter Education Week in Ascension Parish August 21 – August 25, 2017
The Ascension Parish Registrar of Voters offices will be taking part in the annual Louisiana statewide Voter Education Week activities scheduled for August 21, 2017 through August 25, 2017.
Voters are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to register to vote or if any changes need to be made to their voter registration, this can be accomplished at this time at one of the off sites during this week. Party changes, address changes, name changes and even voter registration transfers to or from another parish can be made at this site.

Wednesday, August 23rd Ascension Parish Library, Donaldsonville, LA 500 Mississippi St. @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Thursday, August 24th Ascension Parish Dutchtown Library, 13278 LA-73, Geismar, LA

Louisiana was one of the first states in the nation to implement an easy, convenient online voter registration portal. Citizens with a valid Louisiana driver’s license can register online 24 hours a day, seven days a week from the convenience of their home or office by visiting https://voterportal.sos.la.gov.
Residents of Louisiana can also register in person at their parish Registrar of Voters Office, when they apply for/renew their driver’s license at any Office of Motor Vehicles or when obtaining services at public assistance agencies and armed forces recruitment offices. Citizens wishing to register by mail can download and print the application at http://www.sos.la.gov/ElectionsAndVoting/PublishedDocuments/Application or complete an application found at public libraries or through registration drives.
The Ascension Parish Registrar of Voters offices are located at 828 S Irma Blvd Room 205 in Gonzales, LA and 300 Houmas Street Suite B in Donaldsonville, LA. Hours of business are Monday through Friday 8:00 - 4:30.
