Tanger Outlets Gonzales launched veteran parking in time for the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

Veterans now have their own exclusive parking spaces at one local shopping center thanks to a new initiative that launched last week.

Tanger Outlets in Gonzales announced the veteran parking as a way to provide a more convenient shopping experience for those who sacrificed and served the country.

"Veteran Parking was added to all Tanger Outlets locations in the United States in time for the Fourth of July weekend," said Jeanne St. Germain, Tanger Outlets Gonzales General Manager. "The Fourth of July holiday is not only a chance to express patriotism, but to also reflect on the sacrifices of those in the military."

Reserved parking spaces can be found next to the electric car charging stations outside of Shopper Services near Suite 229 and near the large flag pole across from Suite 105.

"From now on, they will also have a little easier time finding a parking space," she added. "As a member of the community and from the bottom of our hearts, we thank them for their service!"

Tanger Outlets also offers special discounts to veterans, retired and current military, police and EMTs, along with a free coupon book that can be picked up from Shopper Services.
