CASA volunteers converge on Capitol

Baton Rouge – Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) from across Louisiana converged on the Capitol in Baton Rouge on Thursday. Resolutions in the Senate and House were read and the efforts of over 2,000 volunteers were applauded. In 2016, CASA volunteers dedicated over 65,717 hours of service to children in Louisiana and over 3,333 children are better protected and closer to a healthier, happier family as a result of their work.
