Daralyn Parker, granddaughter of Nell Martin (who traveled to Jackson), gives a veteran a flag.

Several junior auxiliary members accompanied Unit 81 members to the Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jackson. Unit 81 traveled to Jackson to celebrate both Thanksgiving and Christmas with parties, bingo, flags, and goodies. The junior members earned valuable service hours and the veterans enjoyed the company.
