Six Semi-finalists selected for superintendent

The Ascension Parish School Board selected six semi-finalists to interview for superintendent of Ascension Public Schools. The Board narrowed the field down from ten candidates out of 47 applicants processed by search firm Ray and Associates.

The six semi-finalists are listed below in alphabetical order with highest degree earned and most recent position noted:

The semi-finalist interview schedule is being finalized, but the Board plans to conduct Skype interviews on June 1, 2 and 3 at the Instructional Technology Training Center (ITTC) at Central Middle School in Gonzales before selecting finalists. Finalists will be invited to interview in Ascension Parish the week of June 6 to June 10.

To aid in its work, the Board contracted with Ray and Associates to collect applications, actively seek candidates to be well suited for the 22,000-student school system, and to make recommendations to the Board.
