Suspect wanted on theft charges

The City of Gonzales Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating LeMichael Munson, last known address 37510 Southwood, Prairieville.

A report was filed by Capital Paint located on Hwy. 30 in reference to bank deposits which were made, but were all short of the actual amounts. It was learned that Munson, a temporary employee at the time, was tasked with making these deposits on December 3, 7 and 9, 2015. In total, approximately $1,146.25 was to be deposited into Red River Bank located in Dutchtown. 

Through investigation, it was discovered that Munson had allegedly re-written the deposit slips after going to the bank on the days in question, depositing only a fraction of the original deposit amount. 

Munson was identified on surveillance as being in the bank on the days in question.
