Village Road Bridge now open

ST. AMANT – Ascension Parish President Kenny Matassa announced today the Village Road bridge that crosses New River Canal at the intersection with La. 429 (Weber City Road) is now open to through traffic.

The bridge is located approximately 250 feet north of the Village Road/La. 429 intersection. 

The bridge was closed by DOTD inspectors in April, 2015 for bridge replacement construction.
