Shell sponsors Louisiana Energy Workshop for teachers

GONZALES – Caryn Turrel, of the National Energy Education Development (NEED) Project, goes over the agenda for the Louisiana Energy Workshop, a day-long professional development seminar for area fourth through twelfth grade science and math teachers, held Dec. 15 at the Holiday Inn Express in Gonzales.
The workshop, sponsored by Shell, provided detailed instruction in the science of energy and covered subjects ranging from energy sources and conservation, to petroleum/natural gas exploration, production, and conversion to products used every day by consumers. The workshop was provided at no expense to the participating teachers or school systems.
