Driver in critical condition after accident with train

     GONZALES – According to Chief of the City of Gonzales Police Department, Sherman Jackson, at approximately 6:40 a.m., on Dec. 14, Harry L. White, 38, from Baton Rouge, was traveling eastbound on Felix St. when he crossed the railroad tracks. His Chevrolet pickup truck was hit by an oncoming train as it went through the city.

     White was assessed for injuries on scene and transported to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital for moderate to serious injuries at the time. His status has since been upgraded to critical.

    The accident is still uner investigation.
