EAHS cheerleader and gymnast ranks in top 12 for magazine feature

BATON ROUGE – Hailey Copeland, East Ascension High School senior and senior model/representative for Jennifer Esneault Photography, became a finalist in We Are The SEEN’s “The 12” modeling competition, on Oct.5. The contest, which focuses on storytelling and highlighting the lives of exceptional high school seniors across the nation, chose its winner on Oct. 12.

While Copeland was not selcted, out of hundreds of entries, her story and images placed her in the top group of 60 finalists.

“Each time we have worked together, she’s brought this infectious smile, laughter, and readiness to be amazing,” photographer, Jennifer Esneault said. “Her commitment level is top notch, which is probably why she is a gymnastics champion.

We are very proud that Hailey has been recognized as a finalist.”

According to the We Are The SEEN website, the 12 are a select group of high school seniors chosen by the We Are The SEEN Campaign following a nationwide selection process. The focus is on individualism, undiscovered talent and originality.
