Ascension Parish Sheriff Jeff Wiley is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect responsible for stealing rims and tires from a local car dealership on Airline Highway in Gonzales.

On June 10 deputies responded to the dealership and learned during the investigation that the theft was captured on surveillance video. The video reveals the theft actually occurred on Monday, June 8.

Sheriff Wiley says the suspect is described as a white male, wearing dark pants and a light colored shirt, driving a blue 2015 Dodge Ram 2500 truck. In the surveillance video, the white male was observed stealing rim and tires off of a 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 truck that was parked in the sales lot. The suspect is then seen exiting the parking lot with the rims and tires in the bed of his truck.
