LeBlanc’s Food Stores presented a check June 10 for $4,700 to Child Advocacy Services in support of Child Abuse Prevention Month and the Blue Ribbon Campaign.  The Blue Ribbon is the international sign of child abuse prevention awareness.  The money was collected by LeBlanc’s Food Stores from local community members and dedicated LeBlanc’s associates.  By purchasing a blue ribbon for $1, community members were able to participate in support of services and awareness of this month long campaign.  The LeBlanc family and LeBlanc’s Food Stores have been long time supporters of children and families through their efforts and commitment to child abuse prevention.

Child abuse impacts every facet of a community.  Child Advocacy Services helps to educate and empower communities through partnerships like the one with LeBlanc’s Food Stores.  The support generated through the Blue Ribbon Campaign will go towards providing clinical and advocacy services to children in the Florida and River Parishes including Ascension, Assumption, East and West Feliciana, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John, Livingston and Tangipahoa.  Contact Child Advocacy Services at www.childadv.net or 1-800-798-1575 to learn more about ways you can be a Child Sponsor for services to children in our communities or become a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA).  Child Advocacy Services is a proud partner with United Way.
