On Monday afternoon, June 15, Kaglin Green, 16, and Kahlil Howard, 17, were in court for a 72 hour juvenile hearing, conducted by Assistant District Attorney Mike Porrier and presided over by the Honorable Judge Jason Verdigets. The hearing was due to the two juveniles’ roles in the August 2014 homicide of 15 year-old Brandon Augusta. The court found probable cause for both juveniles to be held on murder charges at the Ascension Parish Jail in Donaldsonville.

The 23rd District Attorney’s Office is currently awaiting all appropriate and final investigative materials from the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office. Pending their review, the two juveniles could be tried as adults.

18 year-old Tyrell Williams and 21 year-old Marcus Ester have been in the Ascension Parish Jail since Friday, June 12.

All four have been arrested on first degree murder charges.
