Decker

Air Force Airman Daniel J. Decker graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Decker is the son of Jan E. Foulds of Sorrento, La., and Stephen P. Decker of Gonzales,and grandson of George Chustz of Erwinville.

He is a 2014 graduate of Port Allen High School, Port Allen.

Cushenberry

Army Pfc. Kyra C. Cushenberry has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises.

Cushenberry is the daughter of Pamela Randale and granddaughter of Emma Bassett, both of Gonzales.

She is a 2009 graduate of East Ascension High School, Gonzales.

Smith

Air Force Airman Nathan Z. Smith graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Smith is the son of Linda Smith of Boxford, Mass., and Michael Smith of Gonzales. He is also the brother of Ellen Smith of Diaberville, Miss., Trisha Smith of Long Beach, Miss., and Kaila Smith of Gulfport, Miss., nephew of Jeff Smith of Petal, Miss., and cousin of T.J. Smith of Biloxi, Miss.

The airman graduated in 2015 from East Ascension High School.

Eskine

U.S. Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Aaron M. Eskine graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Eskine is the son of Steven J. Eskine of Prairieville, and Charlene S. Eskine of Baton Rouge. He is also the brother of Shelly L. Eskine.

The airman graduated in 2009 from Bethany Christian School, Baker, and he earned a bachelor's degree in 2013 from Southeastern Louisiana University, Hammond.
