Parish President Proclaims May 6-12, 2015 as National Nurses Week in Ascension Parish

Ascension Parish President Tommy Martinez proclaimed the week of May 6-12, 2015 as National Nurses Week in Ascension Parish. President Martinez read the proclamation at the May 7 Parish Council meeting in Donaldsonville before presenting it to Yvonne Pellerin, vice president of nursing care at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Along with the American Nurses Association, St. Elizabeth Hospital recognized the week with the theme “Ethical Practice, Quality Care,” while emphasizing the importance of ethics in nursing and acknowledging the strong commitment, compassion and care nurses display in their practice and profession. Pellerin was joined by other SEH nursing professionals attending the meeting.
