A native and resident of Donaldsonville, She passed away at Jefferson Health Care Center in Jefferson, at 10:06 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 2015. She was 87. Interment in Protestant Cemetery, Donaldsonville.
Campbell, Frank
Funeral services for Mr. Frank Campbell were held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2015 in the Chapel at Wade Funeral Home. Mr. Campbell passed away from this life on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at his residence in McDonald Chapel. He was 83 years of age. The Reverend Grover Gunn officiated and interment is in the McDonald Chapel Cemetery. Wade Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Lance Campbell, Derek Campbell, Phil Proctor, Blake Lemoine, Anthony Marino, and Brad Campbell. Frank Campbell was born on October 26, 1931 in Covington County to Dan and Inez Mathis Campbell. Mr. Campbell was a retired millwright from Mobil Oil Company and Texas Oil and Gas Company. He was a member of McDonald Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; his wife of 65 years, Catherine Faye McDonald Campbell; a grandson, Wesley Campbell; 1 brother, Charlie Campbell; and 4 sisters, Eloise Campbell, Christine Campbell, Clara Hayes, and Dora Campbell. Survivors are 1 brother Dan Campbell, Jr. and his wife Joyce of Pheonix, AZ; 3 sons, Jerry Campbell and his wife Laurie of Prairieville, LA, Larry Campbell and his wife Sandra of Maurepas, LA, and Kim Campbell of St. Amant, LA; 5 grandchildren, Derek Campbell, Laine Proctor and her husband Phil, Lance Campbell, Shea Lemoine and her husband Blake, and Brad Campbell; 5 great-grandchildren, Bijou Proctor, Azzie Proctor, Jett Lemoine, Blakely Lemoine, and Aspen Lemoine; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation was held Saturday from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Wade Funeral Home.
Cavalier, Jr., Wilson "Joe Joe" Pierre
He died on Friday, May 22, 2015. He was 50. He was a resident of Donaldsonville. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Groft, John D.
A native of Louisiana, previous resident of South Dakota and Kentucky and current resident of Gonzales, he passed away Friday, May 15, 2015, at the age of 41. He was a 1992 graduate of Covington Catholic High School and 1997 graduate of Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Kentucky. He worked for Baumer Foods in Reserve, as a Quality Assurance Technician. He was attending New River Baptist Church in St. Amant and was a member of Erlanger Baptist Church in Erlanger, Kentucky. Interment in New River Baptist Church Cemetery in St. Amant.
Johnson, Wilma Bercegeay
She passed on Friday, May 22, 2015. She was 79. She was a native and resident of Gonzales. For most of her life, she worked at Janice LeBlanc's. She retired from Kmart after 10 faithful years of employment there. She was a parishioner at St. Mark Catholic Church and was a member of the St. Mark Alter Society and Adoration Chapel. Interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Jones, Concetta Mary SImone
She passed away on May 19, 2015, at Azalea Estates in Gonzales, at the age of 92. A resident of New Orleans, she was born on January 22, 1923. After Hurricane Katerina, she relocated to Ascension Parish. Residing in New Orleans, she was active in various public affairs. A member of various Carnival organizations, she reigned as Queen a number of years. As a business executive for various companies, she was the first woman to hold the position of Manager for the technical department of MCI Communications Corporation from which she retired in 1991. She was a Catholic. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery/Pineview Memorial Park, Slidell.
Prejean, Mildred Falcon "Tee"
She was born Feb. 27, 1924 and She passed away on May 19, 2015, at St. Clare Manor Baton Rouge. She resided and had many friends in Jennings LA, Pass Christian MS, and Gulfport MS, before returning home to her family and friends in Donaldsonville. Interment at Ascension Cemetery – all in Donaldsonville.

She passed away on May, 19, 2015 at Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner. She was 62. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Second Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, Sorrento.
