Gonzales – On Sunday, April 19, Nathan and the Cha Chas take to the stage for the second in our four-part series of free music called Music in the park. Brought to you by the Mayor’s Council on the Arts, the event promises to have your toes tapping as you dance along to one of the premier Zydeco bands in the world.

The Music in the Park event is in its fourth year, and has seen much support from area residents and residents from surrounding parishes.

We’re prepared for the predicted bad weather. Our plan is to hold the event at the outdoor arena in Jambalaya Park in Gonzales, however if the predicted rains are heavy, the event will be moved indoors to the Gonzales Civic Center on Irma Boulevard. Just bring yourself a chair and make yourself comfortable, wherever we hold the event. The important thing is that it will not be cancelled.

The event is free and runs from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Bring the family and we’ll bring the fun.
