Jambalaya Festival Association announces 48th annual festival band lineup

The Jambalaya Festival Association Board of Directors is proud to announce the Musical line up for the 48th Annual Jambalaya Festival, which will be held May 22 through May 24 on Irma Boulevard in Gonzales. From swamp pop and zydeco to Rock N’ Roll and Country; festivalgoers will experience a wide variety of musical talent on three band stages throughout the fun-filled weekend.

Headlining this year’s festival is country music star, Chris Cagle. Born in DeRidder, Louisiana, Cagle grew up with a love of country music. His career has earned him 2 gold albums, 2 number one albums, and 12-charted songs. Popular songs such as “I Breathe In, I Breathe Out” and “Let There Be Cowgirls” continue to remain strong crown favorites and will certainly put on a good show.

Among other notable musicians, the Festival will welcome popular groups including The Chee Weez, Rockin’ Doopsie and the Zydeco Twisters, Don Rich, Foret Tradition, Hai Karate, Snapper and the Fishsticks, Bac Trac and Kenny Fife, Lil Bayou Band and many more!.

The festival will also feature a 5k and 1-mile fun run, art show, carnival rides and games, craft booths and cooking contests held throughout the weekend.

The festival grounds are located on Irma Boulevard in Gonzales. Irma Boulevard will be closed to through traffic during festival weekend, as there will be events taking place on both sides of the road. Parking is available at Jambalaya Park and surrounding areas.

The 2015 Word Champion Jambalaya Cook will be announced Sunday, May 24 at 6:30 p.m. in front of the Main Festival Stage.
