Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking information on a subject(s) and a vehicle that have been involved in three carwash burglaries in the Ascension area, along with other carwash burglaries in neighboring parishes, according to Chief Deputy Tony Bacala.

On Friday, March 13, deputies responded to the Dutchtown Express carwash located on Highway 73 in Prairieville in reference to a carwash burglary. The security video captured two subjects driving a silver 4-door Jaguar pull up to the cash machine. The driver, a male wearing a blue in color jump suit and a baseball cap, can be seen exiting the vehicle and drilling into the cash machine and taking the quarters. The other occupant was not seen exiting the vehicle and is unclear if it was a female or male.

The same suspect is seen on Wednesday, March 18, at the Sorrento Carwash on John Leblanc Boulevard drilling the screws out of the machine.

On Thursday, March 19, deputies responded to AAA Carwash, located in Prairieville where security video captured a male with tattooed forearms driving a light colored, 4-door Jaguar. He can be seen using a drill on two car wash bays.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect(s) or any information of this incident is urged to contact the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office at 225-621-INFO (4636) or by texting 847411 to our anonymous tip line from any cellular device or Crime Stoppers at 225-344-STOP (7867).
