Church Academy student interviews Parish President

Church Academy of St. Amant sixth-grader Kinslei Scroggs (left) is shown with Ascension Parish President Tommy Martinez. Kinslei interviewed President Martinez on Monday about his job duties and career. Kinslei is studying Social Studies in Ms. Dana May’s class. She is also a member of 4-H, under the guidance of Ms. Joycelyn Decuir. Kinslei is presently studying government and citizenship. She attended the Ascension Parish Council meeting on March 5 to observe governmental proceedings and was asked to lead the Pledge of Allegiance.
