Post Office Road Intersection Closure Postponed Until Saturday, March 14

PRAIRIEVILLE – Ascension Parish President Tommy Martinez announced today the closure of Post Office Road at its intersection with La. 73 due to roadway construction has been postponed from Friday, March 13, 2015 to Saturday March 14 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Through traffic on La. 73 will not be impeded.

Aaron Elisar, project engineer with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, said crews will remove and replace the existing roadway surface and base course of La. 73 in order to tie in to the grade of Post Office Road.

Access to Post Office Road will be available from U.S. Highway 61 (Airline Highway).
