APSO releases latest 'Operation no show' efforts

Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Major Kevin Hanna reports the Sheriff’s Office is continuing its efforts in the parish to arrest individuals that are failing to appear in court after being arrested on felony and misdemeanor criminal charges. The ongoing initiative is “OPERATION NO SHOW.”
Persons who are arrested on criminal charges are entitled to a bond. Upon bonding from jail the individual is given notice to be in court on a specific date. The following individuals ignored their court date, which subsequently led to a bench warrant being issued by the court for failure to appear:
Jennifer Shanahan, 35, of 10474 Acy Road, St. Amant is wanted on a felony bench warrant for possession of firearm by convicted felon, illegal carry of weapon, possession of CDS II, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and disturbing the peace.
Warren Bruno, 25, of 17021 Camden Drive, Prairieville is wanted on a felony bench warrant for possession of CDS II, possession of CDS IV, and possession of marijuana.
George Tucker, 45, of 10474 Acy Road, lot 1, St. Amant is wanted on a felony bench warrant for aggravated battery, hit and run, and reckless operation.
Thomas LeBlanc Jr., 18, address unknown, is wanted on a felony bench warrant for second degree battery, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting an officer, and possession of CDS II.
David Caillier, 56, of 10661 LA 431, St. Amant is wanted on a felony bench warrant for domestic abuse battery, second-degree battery, and false imprisonment.
In an effort to reduce these felony bench warrant numbers, twice a month the Sheriff’s Office is airing a photograph and name of a person that has failed to appear in court, Major Hanna said.
