Protection Levee public meeting slated for Feb. 11

ST. AMANT – Ascension Parish President Tommy Martinez announced today the East Ascension Consolidated Gravity Drainage District No. 1 Board will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 11 to discuss the route of a proposed flood protection levee that would extend from the present Laurel Ridge Levee at Gold Place Road to Wall Cemetery Road.

The meeting will take place at the St. Amant Park Auditorium, 45404 Stringer Bridge Road in St. Amant beginning at 6 p.m.

Drainage officials will provide information and answer questions concerning right-of-way acquisitions.
