Prairieville Road intersection now permanently closed

PRAIRIEVILLE – Ascension Parish President Tommy Martinez announced today Pearly Broussard Road is now closed permanently at its intersection with La. 73. Through traffic on La. 73 will not be impeded by this closure.

Aaron Elisar, project engineer with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, said the closure is part of safety improvements for the La. 73 road widening project currently underway. Elisar said crews are replacing existing roadway surfacing and base course at that location.

Pearly Broussard Road will remain accessible at its southeastern end with Post Office Road, Elisar said.
