The Ascension Parish Animal Shelter, located at 9894 Airline Hwy., Sorrento, is taking blanket donations for the cold weather coming up. Viewing and adoptions are Monday through Thursday from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. There is a $50 adoption fee. For more information, call (225) 675-6557.
