Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Major Kevin Hanna reports the Sheriff’s Office is continuing its efforts in the parish to arrest individuals that are failing to appear in court after being arrested on felony and misdemeanor criminal charges. The ongoing initiative is “OPERATION NO SHOW.”

Persons who are arrested on criminal charges are entitled to a bond.  Upon bonding from jail the individual is given notice to be in court on a specific date.   The following individuals ignored their court date which subsequently led to a bench warrant being issued by the court for failure to appear:

Jeremy Jackson, 36, of 45076 Peach Lane, St. Amant, is wanted on a felony bench warrant for simple burglary.

Dawn Welch Bourgeois, 38, of 18665 Ducros Road, Prairieville, is wanted on a felony bench warrant for possession of CDS II, possession of CDS I, possession of drug paraphernalia, theft, and possession of marijuana/synthetic.

Charles Bond, 49, of 10474 Acy Road, St. Amant, is wanted on a felony bench warrant for possession of CDS IV, and disturbing the peace.

Walter Vicknair, 31, of 37313 Hwy 74, lot 72 B, Geismar, is wanted on a felony bench warrant for theft.

Jessie Warner, 32, of 43383 Willie Bell, Gonzales, is wanted on a felony bench warrant for possession of CDS IV.

In an effort to reduce these felony bench warrant numbers, twice a month the Sheriff’s Office is airing a photograph and name of a person that has failed to appear in court, Major Hanna said.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office at 225-621-INFO (4636) or Crime Stoppers at 225-344-STOP (7867).
