APSO arrests three on marijuana charges

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detectives received information that Steven Porter was in possession of a quantity of marijuana, on Tuesday, December 2.

During the course of the investigation detectives were successful in obtaining sufficient probable cause for a Judge to sign a warrant granting them permission to search Porter’s home.

On December 2 the search warrant was executed at the home located at 15164 Palomino Lane in Prairieville. The search yielded a quantity of marijuana and drug paraphernalia that was located in Porter and his girlfriend, Lisa Moran’s, bedroom, said Major Kevin Hanna.

Additionally, detectives located four marijuana plants growing in a closet of a bedroom that belong to Moran’s son, Thomas Moran.

Steven Porter, 50, and Lisa Moran, 52, of 15164 Palomino Lane, Prairieville were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Porter and Moran’s bond was set at $1,089 and were released from the Ascension Parish Jail on Wednesday, Dec. 3.

Thomas Moran, 26, of 15164 Palomino Lane, Prairieville was arrested and charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $21,089 where he is still incarcerated in the Ascension Parish Jail.
