Seasons of Thanksgiving

Giving thanks for the many blessings of God all season long should erupt out of your spirit every day.  Thanksgiving Day is a day set aside in America to celebrate God’s blessings but let’s be honest, awaking 365 days a year, each day should be embraced with words of THANKSGIVING.

The many acts of God in our lives cannot be numbered.  His Love and Kindness cannot be compared.  His Mercy and Grace cannot be denied.  There are not enough words in the human vernacular to adequately describe the Awesomeness of our Lord of Lords and King of Kings.   “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!  How unsearchable are His Judgments, and His Ways past finding out!”(Roman 11:33)

“SEASONS OF THANKSGIVING,” means during hard times, sad times, joyful times, or lonely times, you must still thank Him.  The word of God declares, “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as you have:  for He has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you.  So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.  Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”

“SEASONS OF THANKSGIVING” keeps your heart grateful as you express to others the goodness of God which helps them to appreciate the Spirit of love in you.  America is called the land of the free and the brave.   Sometimes Americans need to take a retrospect of how life was before politics, power and greed became the measuring stick for success.

Our nation leaders must come to the table with a spirit of reconciliation and hearts of love for one another.  One day set aside for Thanksgiving and then politics as usual is not the way God ordained life to be.  There is no peace in man- made rules and agendas.  God didn’t create a world of division and strife, man did.  The destruction of the human race was never God’s intention, but the disobedience of man is causing a decline in our world system, which is raging havoc in family values.   Old land marks were set by those of the past and if followed precisely, in spite of advancing technology, we all should be wiser, stronger and better.

“SEASONS OF THANKSGIVING,” should be our goal as we complete the course God has set before us.  Sharing with others, praying for one another, and encouraging the down trodden, are the only values we can trust to see a turnaround in our nations.  Hatred and Fighting only escalate when no one desires to surrender. In order for us to accomplish the task Jesus shed His blood for, we must all seek to live each day giving thanks. “For it is a good thing that the heart be established with Grace.  Grace be with you all.” (Hebrews 13:9, 25)  AMEN
