Mrs. Kristi Hebert's kindergarten class at Duplessis Primary joined millions of people across the country and participated in Jumpstart's 9th annual "Read for the Record" Day on October 21, by reading the children's book, “Bunny Cakes.” “Bunny Cakes” is a comical story of sibling bonding and birthday shenanigans by bestselling author and illustrator Rosemary Wells. “Read for the Record” is Jumpstart’s premiere national campaign that mobilizes millions of children and adults to celebrate literacy by participating in the country’s largest shared reading experience. All students in attendance received a world record reader certificate.
