Susan G. Komen® Baton Rouge’s Perfectly Pink Luncheon For Life Declared A Huge Success!

BATON ROUGE - Susan G. Komen® Baton Rouge hosted its annual Perfectly Pink, A Luncheon For Life on Saturday, October 11 at L’Auberge Casino & Hotel. The event featured author and motivational speaker, Sally- Ann Roberts, as the keynote speaker.

She spoke about her sister, Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts, her struggles with breast cancer, and how to make “your mess your message”. Donna Britt of Channel 9 WAFB, a breast cancer survivor herself, emceed the luncheon. The presenting sponsor of the event was Baton Rouge General Medical Center.

The Perfectly Pink Luncheon included a silent auction and a blind jewelry pull courtesy of Kendra Scott, which sold out in minutes! Additionally, Dillard’s at the Mall of Louisiana presented a fashion show featuring local breast cancer survivors as models, who looked gorgeous. Models from Ascension Parish included Michelle Helfrich, Mindy LaBauve, Kari deSha Millet and Nadine Leblanc. The room was beautifully decorated courtesy of the design team from Pottery Barn at the Mall of Louisiana.

Additional sponsors of the Perfectly Pink Luncheon include Blush Magazine- Baton Rouge, Raising Canes Chicken Fingers, and Rickey Heroman’s Florist and Gifts. Members of the Perfectly Pink Committee who helped put on the luncheon from Ascension Parish include Jessica Keller, Michelle Helfrich, and Kari deSha Millet.
