Gonzales Police Detective Sgt. Steven Nethken reports on Tuesday, September 30, Jack Ryan Vincent, 34 years of age, of 110 Bertie Street, Napoleonville, was arrested on one count of obscenity by the Gonzales Police Department with the assistance of Assumption Parish Sheriff’s detectives.

The arrest stems from an August 18 report of a subject exposing himself and masturbating in the presence of a lone 18-year-old female whom was tending the cash register at a local yogurt shop.  According to witness accounts, Vincent entered the yogurt shop in Gonzales and sat down after making a purchase.  He was the only patron at the time.  Vincent began conversing with the employee, complementing her on her beauty.  The female victim became frightened and very uncomfortable, all the while trying to ignore Vincent’s advances and comments. The situation then escalated as Vincent exposed his genitals and began masturbating.  According to the witness, Jack Vincent got up from the table, went to the restroom, then left the establishment.  The victim being fearful of his intentions, waited for him to leave and then immediately called police.

Vincent was identified as the suspect from CODIS database match from seminal fluid left by him at the scene.  After his identity was established, the female victim was able to identify him from a photographic line-up.  It was also determined that the 2004 Lincoln Navigator driven by Vincent on that day belonged to his fiancé.

Vincent gave no explanations for his behavior.

Vincent was booked in to the Ascension Parish Prison in Donaldsonville where he is awaiting bond consideration.
