Aaron Elisar, LADOTD Project Engineer, announced intermittent lane closures are scheduled to begin on LA 30 between the Iberville Parish Line and Tanger Mall Blvd. in Gonzales.  These lane closures are needed for crews to perform all necessary work for the patching, milling, and asphalt overlay of LA 30. This work is part of LADOTD Project H.010642.6.   The lane closures will begin on Monday, September 22, 2014 and will be during the following times:

Daytime weekday lane closures will be allowed Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Nighttime weekday lane closures will be allowed Monday to Friday from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning.

Weekend lane closures will be allowed from Friday 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM Monday morning.

Permit loads over 12' wide will need to take an alternate route. The anticipated completion date for this project is Saturday, February 28, 2015. All lanes will be open during the Thanksgiving holiday and Christmas holiday periods.

Proposed Alternate Route: EB LA 30- Motorist could take LA 73 north from LA 30 and get on I-10 EB to LA 30 (exit # 177) in Gonzales.

WB LA 30-Motorist could take I-10 WB at LA 30 and exit (#173) at LA 73.  Travel south on LA 73 to LA 30.

“DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and to be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment,” Elisar said.
