Utah man arrested for bomb threat at PCS Nitrogen

According to Chief Tony Bacala with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives began investigating a bomb threat that was called into PCS Nitrogen Plant in Geismar on September 11.

Through the investigation it was learned that the cell phone number used to call the threat in belonged to 34-year-old Terry Randal Cox II. Cox was a contractor working at PCS Nitrogen at the time the threat was called in.

As a result of the bomb threat, employees had to evacuate the entire plant which resulted in approximately 540 employees being sent home for the day.

Terry Randal Cox II, 34, of 5848 South 3000 West, Roy Utah, was arrested on Tuesday, September 16 and charged with terrorizing. He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail awaiting bond.
