Bringier turns himself in to APSO

Jyrah, Bringier, 22, turned himself into Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office authorities on Thursday, September 18. Bringier was wanted on charges of possession of a firearm by convicted felon. He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.

On September 8, the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Narcotics Detectives were conducting surveillance of a suspected drug deal on Elizabeth Street in Donaldsonville.  As detectives approached the individuals they recognized one of them as a known felon, Jyrah Bringier, of 128 Elizabeth Street. When Bringier spotted detectives he fled the scene after discarding a handgun in a nearby vehicle. The weapon was subsequently recovered from the parked vehicle, according to Chief Tony Bacala.
