Donaldsonville man wanted on weapons charge

On September 8, the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Narcotics Detectives were conducting surveillance of a suspected drug deal on Elizabeth Street in Donaldsonville.  As detectives approached the individuals they recognized one of them as a known felon, Jyrah Bringier, of 128 Elizabeth Street. When Bringier spotted detectives he fled the scene after discarding a handgun in a nearby vehicle. The weapon was subsequently recovered from the parked vehicle, according to Chief Tony Bacala.

Bringier remains at large and is wanted on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.  Anyone with information on Bringer is urged to contact the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division at 225-621-8355 or by texting 847411 to our anonymous tip line from any cellular device or by calling Crime Stoppers at 225-344-STOP (7867). You must call Crime Stoppers to be eligible for a cash reward.
