Donaldsonville native a new leader for Army Field Support Battalion-Kuwait

Col. James D. Kinkade, 402nd AFSB commander, passes the battalion colors to Lt. Col. Earl Schonberg Jr., the incoming commander for the Army Field Support Battalion – Kuwait, during the change of command ceremony on July 2, at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.

On July 2, Army Field Support Battalion – Kuwait (AFSBn-KU) conducted a change of command ceremony as Lt. Col. Marc D. Staats, former AFSBn-KU commander, passed the battalion colors to Col. James D. Kinkade, 402nd Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB) commander, for the last time.  Kinkade passed the colors to the incoming battalion commander, Lt. Col. Earl B. Schonberg Jr., of Donaldsonville.

Schonberg comes to AFSBn-KU from the Defense Logistic Agency at Ft. Belvoir, VA. He has a vast amount of logistic and tactical experience, which is essential to lead the battalion with its strategic mission.

AFSBn-KU welcomes Schonberg, the support of his family and look forward to mission success with his leadership and guidance as the new battalion commander.
