SE Tylose to conduct job fair for south Louisiana manufacturing facility

PLAQUEMINE — SE Tylose, supported by LED FastStart® and the Louisiana Workforce Commission, will conduct a job fair from 5 to 8 p.m. July 29 and July 30 at the Mathematics Science and Arts Academy gym, located at 57955 Saint Louis Road in Plaquemine.

The job fair will target filling the following positions: process operators, laboratory technicians, electrical and instrument technicians, and mechanical maintenance personnel. For a complete listing of open positions at SE Tylose, visit www.laworks.net.

Candidates must be 18 or older and have a high school diploma or a GED certification or equivalent. A two-year vocational/technical degree is preferred, plus a minimum of two years of industrial experience. Résumés will be accepted and applicants will complete a one-page questionnaire at the job fair. Candidates must be willing to work rotating shifts and holidays, work well with team members and be willing to take a drug screen test.

SE Tylose is completing a manufacturing facility on the Shintech site in Plaquemine that will be environmentally sound, safe and professionally managed with 43 new direct employees. In 2012, SE Tylose announced it would develop the $120 million project and retain 270 existing Shintech employees.
