Coon, Ida Mae
She was a resident of Baker and a native of Dutchtown. She died on Monday, December 23, 2013. She was 83. She was retired, after working many years at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary. Burial in Hillcrest Cemetery in Baker. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters Association 1746; the Baker Chapter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars; and the Women's' Auxiliary of the Woodmen of the World.
Epps, Howard Mitchell
He passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013. He was a graduate of SMU with a degree in mechanical engineering; and also a graduate from LSU's Mid-South Executive Development Program. He was a Registered Professional Engineer. He worked for the Texas & Pacific Railroad for 12 years; for the American Cyanamid Company for 13 years; and for CF Industries for 25 years, retiring as General Manager of the Louisiana Region for CF Industries. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Gonzales. He was also a member of Post 81 of the American Legion in Gonzales. He served on the Board of Directors of Riverview Medical Center in Gonzales (now St. Elizabeths); on the Board of Directors of the Baton Rouge United Way; as past president of the Louisiana Ammonia Producers Association; was a founding member of the Gulf Coast Ammonia Producers Association; and he served on the Ammonia Safety Committee of the American Society of Chemical Engineers for 15 years. He was also a founding member of the "Sandbaggers", a public interest group of engineers and public figures who worked for over 30 years to get flood control structures built in Ascension Parish. Entombment in Greenoaks Memorial Park Mausoleum in Baton Rouge.
Ducote Sr., Terry Noah
A native and resident of Gonzales, he passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 1:01 p.m. He was 54 and was employed at Supreme Chevrolet. A celebration of life and memorial was held Monday, December 23, at 6 p.m. at 12463 Palmer Rd. Gonzales.
Haynes, Reneter C.
Reneter C. Haynes was born March 29, 1914 in Prairieville and was baptized at Mt. Gillion Baptist Church in Prairieville,. She passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013. She was a member of Saint John Institutional Missionary Baptist Church in New Orleans, under the leadership of Reverend Louis S. Jones where she served on the Deaconess Board and in other capacities of the church. Funeral was held Thursday, Dec. 26 at Lawson-Rollins Purple Shield Funeral Home, Gonzales.
Hunt, Bryant Michael
Bryant Michael Hunt, born September 20, 1968, passed away on December 22, 2013 at the age of 45. A life long resident of Ascension Parish and 1986 graduate of Trafton Academy, he went on to play baseball at Mississippi Delta Junior College and Tulane University before graduating from Louisiana State University in 1991. He served proudly as both a lieutenant in group 41 with the Men of Manresa and the Vice President of Mobile Air, Inc. Visitation was Thursday December 26 at Ourso Funeral Home on Airline in Gonzales and visitation resumed Friday, December 27 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville. Burial followed.
Jackson, Hazel Merrie
A resident of Prairieville she passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospice in Baton Rouge She was born on April 25, 1949 in New Orleans. Interment in Mt. Erie Baptist Church Cemetery.
Moran, Barry Jay
A native and resident of St. Amant, LA, he passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2013 in the Dominican Republic. He was 54. Visitation will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Saturday, December 28, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until religious services at 10:30 a.m. He was a customer service representative at Emerson. He was a graduate of East Ascension High School.

A lifelong resident of Donaldsonville, he died on Sunday, December 22, 2013. Interment in Protestant Cemetery.
Kittrell, Eunice Neese
“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with The Lord.” (2Cornithians 5:8) Eunice Neese Kittrell went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the age of 84. She is survived by her loving children and their spouses, David and Patti Kittrell, Erett and James Burychka, Joyce and Julian Langlois, and Sharon and Keith Deville; ten grandchildren, Kristin Tassin, Scott Kittrell, Darren Burychka, Ashley Burychka, Dawn Louviere, Ryan Burychka, Jason Deville, Michelle Poucher, Terry Deville, and Danielle Langlois; 16 great-grandchildren; and sister, Phoebe Neese. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Scott Kittrell; parents, Henry Neese Sr. and Beulah May; and siblings, Jake Neese, Henry L. Neese, Agnes Durrell, and Kittye Burnett. Visitation was held at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W New River St, on Monday, December 23, 2013 from 9 am until funeral service at 11 am. Burial followed in Hope Haven Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Darren and Ryan Burychka, Jason and Terry Deville, Scott Kittrell, and Danielle Langlois. Eunice was a most loving and compassionate wife and mother. She was a devoted Christian and was a Charter member of Family Worship Center in Baton Rouge. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. He was and 80 died on Saturday, December 21, 2013. He was a graduate of Ascension Catholic. He served in the U.S. Navy. Interment in Ascension of Our Lord Mausoleum in Donaldsonville.
