Akers Sr., Gary Wayne "G.W."

He was 59 and died on Friday, Oct. 19, 2012. G.W. enjoyed driving cross-country in his 18 wheeler. He served in the United States Navy, while serving he received a service medal, Vietnam medal with a bronze star, Armed Forces expeditionary medal, and Republic of Vietnam Campaign medal. Interment in the Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church cemetery.

Boudreaux Sr., Curtis Lee

A retired self-employed carpenter, he died at 7:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, in Baton Rouge. He was 56, a resident of Geismar and native of New Orleans. Interment in First Pilgrim Calvary Cemetery-Campus 1.

Delaune, Carole Bullock

She passed away Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012 at the age of 68. She was a native of Baton Rouge, resident of Prairieville. Interment in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in French Settlement.

DeMars, Sondra Ann

Born on Dec. 31, 1952, she passed away on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 at the age of 59. She was a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Prairieville. She was an 1860 Civil War re enactor and was an extra in the movie "North and South," and was a former Avon representative. Burial in Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery in Pumpkin Center.

Johnson Sr., Ronald Andrew

A printer and resident and native of Donaldsonville, he died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2012, at home. He was 64 and a U.S. Army veteran. Interment in First Baptist Church cemetery.

Kling, Carl Raymond "Ray"

A native of Oakdale and resident of Bradford, Indiana (and former resident of Gonzales), he died at 4:57 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2012 at Jewish Hospital from surgical complications. He was 56, a retired police officer, owner of Dat KJun Bar and Grill and Deputy Coroner of Harrison County. Survivors include his wife, Angela (Kent) Kling; daughters, Kristi Hasty and Miranda Manuel; step-daughters, Lorna-Mae Ward and Abbie Brown; son, Chad Kling; step-son, Jack Ward; brother, James Kling; and grandchildren, Kaylee Cheatham, Chelsea Hasty, Georgia Manuel and Elizabeth Brown. Preceded in death by his parents, Emile and Edna Kling. Person, Henry Coleman

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith". 2 Timothy 4 – 7. A resident of Gonzales, he passed away at his home in Gonzales surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012. Henry was 73, a resident of Gonzales, and a native of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He was a welder inspector with Local 198 and an Army veteran having served in Korea. Visitation was held on Monday, Oct. 29, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Faithful United Methodist Church, 14253 Hwy 431, St. Amant. Masonic services were held Monday evening at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continued on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 9 am until Christian service at 11 a.m. Burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Paula; children, Don and Debbie Person, Perry Person, Susie and Chayland Trabeau, and Kim Callan Braud; grandchildren, Kelsey and Madison Person, Travis and Samantha Person, Trey Hall, Brent Duplessis, Leslie and Quinn Boudreaux, and Katie Braud; great-grandchildren, Gage Duplessis, Mayleigh and Brennan Boudreaux, and Keira Person; sister, Barbara Ann "Bobbie" of Victoria, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Person, Sr. and Eula Goodman Person; his sister, Judy Jacob. Pallbearers will be Trey Hall, Travis Person, Brent Duplessis, Quinn Boudreaux, Chayland Trabeau, Callan Braud. He was a member of Faithful United Methodist Church, New River Blue Lodge, and 32nd Scottish Rite. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Shriners Hospital or the Cancer Society. A lifelong resident of Ascension Parish, he passed away Monday, Oct, 22, 2012 at the age of 59. He was a graduate of White Castle High School. Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, is handling funeral arrangements.

Webre, Patty LeBlanc

She died Oct. 24, 2012 at her home in Gonzales, after a battle with lung cancer. She was a native of Sorrento. She was born Sept. 23, 1955 and died Oct. 24, 2012. She was 57 years old. Burial in Holy Rosary Catholic Church cemetery.
