Brakefield, Johnny Ray
A successful business owner of Blue Ribbon Motors and J. R's Auto Sales died in Baton Rouge unexpectedly on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012 at the age of 57. He was a native of Shreveport and a resident of Prairieville. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge. He was a longtime member of the Louisiana Independent Automobile Dealers Association where he served in all positions on the executive board, including two terms as president.
Hatch, Patricia Boudreaux
A native of Leonville and resident of Gonzales, she passed away Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at the age of 70. Entombment in Hope Haven Garden of Memory Cemetery in Gonzales.
Nolan, BreAnn Courtney "Bre"
A native of Baton Rouge and resident of Maurepas, she passed away in Bogalusa on Aug. 20, 2012. She was 18. A memorial service was held Saturday, Sept. 15 at House of Deliverance Church, 30091 Huff Chapel Rd., Springfield.
Shelton Jr., Lawrence Benjamin 'L.B.' "Larry"
A lifelong resident of Covington and a nine-year resident of Port Vincent, he died at 6:42 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012 at his home. He was 74, a disabled Offshore Construction Superintendent/Inspector. He was a Sgt. in the U.S. Army 3d Artillery 2AD Fort Hood. Interment was in Pine Crest Memorial Gardens, W. 21st Street, Covington, with graveside service at 2:30 p.m. with military honors. He was a graduate of Covington High School, class of '56. He was in the Civil Air Patrol 1958, Barksdale AFB. He was a member of Walker Baptist Church and past member of FBC Covington. He was an Ordained Deacon, Past Master AU Peterson Masonic Lodge, Folsom, a Perpetual Member, Slidell, No. 68 RAM and 48 CM.
Templet, Martin "Scott"
He passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at the age of 44. A memorial gathering was held on Sunday, Sept. 16 at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales.
Weaver Jr., Bennie
A native of Bogalusa and a resident of Gonzales, he passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012 at his home. He was 61 and e worked for NES Rental as a shop mechanic. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps with six years of active service. He was a Vietnam veteran. Burial will be at Port Hudson National Cemetery.
