The 52nd annual Kids Fishing Rodeo will be held tomorrow at Twin Lakes Park.

This event is free to all kids ages 2-14.  Registration begins at 6:30 a.m.  Kids will begin fishing at 7:00 a.m. and poles must be out of the water by 9:00 a.m.

There will be several age groups and prize categories so even the "little ones" can win.

Trophies will be awarded for each age group and each age group has three categories: most fish girls, most fish boys and biggest fish.  Kids have plenty of chances to win.

Lots of door prizes will be given away--including two bicycles.  While judges tally the results, free hot dogs and Kool-Aid will be available.

Kids must bring their own rod and reel or cane pole and a bucket to put their fish in.  Only live bait can be used; no artificial lures are allowed.

Parents can pack an ice chest and  should bring chairs.

Kids should keep all fish no matter how small but no turtles or eels.  Kids are allowed to fish with only one rod and reel or cane pole.

Parents are allowed to help bait the hook and cast, but the kids must land the fish.  Children must never be left unattended.

Parents do not have to be an EASL member for their kids to fish.  The event is open to the public.

A table will be set up for anyone interested in learning more about EASL or becoming a member. For any additional information you need or if you have any questions, contact Ryan Schilling at (225) 413-9193.?
